How to make Opera / Opera Mini Browser on Symbian Belle/ Symbian Anna as a default browser.

  I know many of the Nokia Belle users did not find comfortable with new browser from nokia (default browser with Nokia Belle). 

The solution for this replacement of the default  web browser of Nokia  is to install Opera (opera Mini or opera Full) or others like UC Browser, WebLite Browser, Internet Accelerating Browsers, iBrowser, MiniBrowser Mobile 4.0 etc. 

Out of these browser  majority of people like and use Opera browser as it is easy ,fast, tabbed and fully featured web browser. Some of the famous browser like Firefox, chrome are not available for Nokia belle, but still Opera is better option and  I bet once you use it you will never go back 

   - Install opera Browser from Nokia Store, then open it and connect it to net and try to open Google.
   - Once you are able to open the Google, it means your browser is completely configured.
   - Keep the browser open and click menu button to go on home screen, go to menu
   - Go to Menu > settings> Application settings>Default application > Browsing internet.

       Note : For older version of Symbian like Symbian ANNA , path is different as  Menu > Settings > Phone > Application settings > Default application> Browsing internet

   - There you will get option as Web and opera. Select opera.

        Note : I was not able to find a entry as Opera Mini here L  but will try to find any workaround for opera mini.

P.s. even after making Opera as Default browser… some of the apps on Nokia belle still open in web (Nokia default browser), these app had hard-coded there links to redirect on default browser and not to search on phone for default web browser
